| Now with the airing of Lee's newest "Rumble and Twang" show on XM Radio, we have a forum where folks can discuss anything about the show with Lee. Enjoy, and don't forget to visit www.rumbleandtwang.com for more information on the show, including playlists. |

Hey Lee, I thought I'd chime in again! I listen to lots and lots of music each day, as a sculptor, and I wanted to share some of my favs(Lee Rocker aside):
Tiger Army: tend to be kinda neo or punkabilly, but have some real gems when they slow things down a bit. If not already familiar, you might check out songs like In the Orchard, Outlaw Heart, Hechizo de Amor, Where the Moss Slowly Grows. Really moody, kinda Marty Robbins sounding stuff.
Devil Doll: Just excellent ranging from Americana to Jazz.
And I'll bet you've already got the Rockin' Bones 4 disc collection?
Cheers! |

Hey Jay thanks for the input. I'm aware of both of these bands but need to really give em a good listen. The Rockin Bones collection I have and wrote some liner notes for the booklet! Tune in the week on March 3 on XM radio channel 12. cheers Lee Rocker |

Hope the show's on air for a long time to come, brother! You rock. |

Lee, I gotta make another pitch for my second favorite band: Tiger Army. It'd be awesome to hear a block with ""Outlaw Heart, Maybe their "Twenty Flight Rock" cover, "In the Orchard", or "Where the Moss Slowly grows"
All the best! |

I've been hearing about Jack Rabbit Slim for nearly two years, but had a hard time tracking down their CDs last year, so I kinda forgot about them. But I finally got their two CD releases yesterday from Howard at Raucous (faster shipping from UK to US than most US sellers). Both albums sound terrific!
I still love Dibbs and the Detonators from Glenside PA. And I'd be remiss for not mentioning my hometown cats The Mezcal Brothers. Go Go Rhythm is an especially well-produced rockabilly album.

| Oh, yeah. I nearly forgot. Since Rumble-n-Twang is more than just rockabilly, I would love to hear a tribute to Chris Gaffney of the Hacienda Brothers, Dave Alvin, etc. Chris passed away last Thursday after a brief fight with liver cancer. He was one of the genuine good guys on the music scene, and anyone who has ever met Chris will miss him dearly. And the Hacienda Brothers' music is one heckuva good time! |

Hi Lee.
Are you interested in any Australian Rockabilly bands. There's a couple here that I go and see whenever they play. One's a bunch of young guys barely old enough to drive, but they're more Psychobilly, but great none the less. I'd even be happy to send you some CD's.
Take care.
Looking forward to the February Cat's shows.
See you then,
René |
